Salary Range:

· $70,000 for LMSW

Position Summary:

This Social Worker supports the efforts of a Federally Qualified Health Center and their mission to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS; and supports the backgrounds of other underserved communities throughout New York City. The program is an OMH funded program. The therapist goal is to foster a positive therapeutic relationship with assigned clients and support clients in the clinical setting with emphasis on mental health relapse prevention. The LMSW or LCSW therapist works with clients and groups to promote optimum mental health and is responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment within the clinic.

· Assess each client for risk level and complete safety planning/monitoring as needed

· Support the development of skills and insight utilizing various evidenced based practice/modalities in the clinical setting

· Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports in accordance with HIPAA

· Provide individual 1:1 and group therapy

· Be familiar and comfortable with DSM-5 diagnoses

· Act as client advocates to coordinate required services and resolve crisis/emergency

· Develop and implement treatment plans

· Abide by OMH 599 regulations and guidelines relative to established plan of care. ALL HIPAA, corporate compliance, and program guidelines must be maintained and kept at all times.

· Attendance of in-service trainings required.

Requirements:

· Master’s Degree in Social Work

· LMSW or LCSW licensure from New York State

· Minimum 2 years’ experience providing clinical services i.e., therapy and counseling within a clinical setting
